Sunshine, smiles & our local hero!
Kyle, Griffin and Eric are perfect NGS hat models!
This handsome trio visited us every day during spring break for bake-at-home cookies, snacks, ice cream and meal ingredients. And lots of wine & cider for the dads!
We are SO proud of Marrowstone islander Jim who just returned home after biking from Puglia, Italy to Salzburg, Austria.
Jim peddled through Italy and over the Alps for 20 days and 1,050 miles before reaching Austria. Jim’s most memorable meal was orecchiette pasta with asparagus. Check out Jim’s Marrowstone Cycling Club bike jersey!
Bobbie visited us this week from California.
She told us Marrowstone is the perfect place for centering and escaping the frenetic Bay Area. She raved about our local Port Townsend Roasting coffee selection, cards and candles. She said she didn’t want to leave…so we asked her to stay! We’re still waiting for her answer…
Kacie (8), David, Millie (celebrating her 7th birthday!) and Kylie visited from Marysville for the girls’ spring break.
The family explored the Ft. Worden bunkers (next time they’ll bring headlamps!). And, of course, Millie found the perfect birthday stuffy and ice cream treats at our store. Millie, we adore your birthday tiara!
Quince and Rigel have been friends since they were three.
You may recognize Quince as one of our flower purveyors, but did you also know he is also a stocker for Mystery Bay Farm?
Remember those baby goats from Mystery Bay Farm?
Well, the moms are producing abundant milk which means delicious chevré for all of our customers! Thanks Quince for keeping us flush with fresh-as-it-gets cheese! And yes, you’ve been in this newsletter more than anyone else!
Leo (10) is modeling strong shopping techniques for her sister Ros (5).
These two recommend all of our quarter candy, popcorn and Cearra cinnamon rolls. We think Leo might be ready to operate a full-size shopping cart but we appreciate her being a wonderful big sister.
Andrea is an islander who values her neighborhood store.
She was excited to see the multi-colored Fastbreaker eggs and learn about our Alexandre cream-on-top milk from Sarah. Andrea used to bring her daughters to the old store for ice cream after swimming in Mystery Bay. She says it’s still a fun treat to visit our store!
Todd told Juli, “now that the store is here I can go days without leaving the island.”
He appreciates our easy dinner and beer choices. Todd has been an islander since 1983. He says a lot has changed, but he can’t imagine living anywhere else. He can listen to the surf while watching eagles in his Douglas fir trees. Perfection.
