Spanish Torta, Easter Egg & Rubber Ducky Treasures

Grace and Mary are beaming with their Ines Rosales tortas.

Mary (right) fell in love with these crackers living in Spain almost 30 years ago. Mary moved to PT recently and was delighted to find her Spanish treasure in her new hometown. These new friends also recommend our Newquist Forge and Pane d’Amore treasures!

Ellinor and Avery are best friends.

These two planned an Easter egg hunt at Mystery Bay State Park. They shopped for all types of candy treats at our store to put inside their eggs. Rumor has it that the largest egg was going to be hidden in the tidal flats. We hope a lucky hunter found that egg!

Bobbie visited us this week from California.

Marko and his crew planted matador, Ailsa Craig and cabernet onions this week next to a field of garlic. Marko and his wife Hanako keep us flush with products from their Quilcene valley farm all year long. We give thanks to every local farmer and producer who feeds our community.

Dawne and Katherine are energetic AAUW volunteers who provided Cearra’s cookies to those on the Home & Kitchen tour.

These two told us they are passionate about AAUW because it provides direct support to our local women and girls. We were beyond proud to be a stop on this year’s tour.

Dee and Carol are AAUW members who were volunteer docents at one of the Marrowstone houses on this year’s tour.

They told us their favorite place on our island is Marrowstone Vineyards and their second favorite is our store. We’re happy to be on the podium! These two raved about our book selection and connection to Imprint Books. Come check out our new summer titles!

Cameryn, Doug and Leslie are big supporters of our store.

Cameryn applauds having a place for community to gather. Mom appreciates being able to buy farm eggs five minutes before breakfast. And Doug says visiting our store is just like walking through the farmers’ market. High praise from this flannel fam!

NGS board members joined other neighbors to pick up beach trash.

We hauled 250 pounds of styrofoam, bottles, shoes, rope and even a rubber ducky. Earth Month may be ending, but our natural stewardship is year round.

Rubber Ducky, you’re the one!

This little blue guy found a new home with one of our crew and stayed out of the landfill. We love a happy ending.
