Anniversary celebrations, local makers & sweet honey!
Meet Isla (4), Mallory, Josh and Henry (2) from Sequim.
This sweet family came for the day to visit Fort Flagler and family on Marrowstone. The kids were super excited about our toy submarines, pullback cars, chocolate milk & stickers. We think this family wins “best boots” this weekend!
Patti and Marty celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last weekend.
Family journeyed by train and plane from as far as Fargo and San Francisco. It has been ten years since some family members have been together. Now that’s a testament to true love. Congrats you two!
Erik and his wife Radha are the duo behind Newquist Forge.
We are proud to offer their hand hammered woks, cookware, garden tools, hooks and candleholders. Erik took time in his shop to show us his new induction-friendly woks. Erik and his wife Radha do so much to connect our community and we are grateful for their contributions.
Mike, Kayla and Lois (5) visited us from Joyce.
We filled their matching travel mugs so they could sip & shop. Kayla is on the board of Lois’ pre-school cooperative and has a deep appreciation for how cooperatives can serve and connect communities. We hope these cuties had a great time exploring Fort Flagler!
It’s only early May, but warmer weather and sunshine already have us planning for summer!
We can’t wait to dig into all of the Fiddlehead Creamery flavors (Coffee Cookie is a staff fav). Thank you Amanda for restocking us this week with your dairy-free ice cream. You will not believe this Port Townsend-made treat is vegan!
Stan, Linda, Reta, Karen, Mike and Jim boated to Mystery Bay from Whidbey Island this week.
This group has been making the voyage across Admiralty Inlet in the spring and fall for the past seven years. They love our focus on local and are so happy we have reopened. We hope to see your flotilla again soon!
We are loving our strawberry, raspberry and blueberry bounty!
This sweetness is matched by newly arrived blackberry and clover honey from Sailing S Orchard.
The Rat Island Rowing Club relaxed after a morning of battling a ripping tide.
They reported raccoon, loon and harbor seal sightings while they were on the water. These year-round rowers are always a happy crew on our porch.
