Hey summer! Slow your roll. We’re just warming up!

Sisters Oaklynn (6) and Finnley (3) light up our aisles every time they visit.

The girls love to spend time with Grandma Gigi watching My Little Pony, picking berries and shopping at our store. Oaklynn’s favorite thing about Finnley is her “crazy” and Finnley’s favorite thing about Oaklynn is pulling her hair. Sounds about right!

We love a good treat while hiking Mt. Townsend, kayaking Kilisut Harbor or enjoying a lazy summer afternoon on the porch.

These are some of our new yummies: Chuao chocolate bars, Bearclaw granola bars, Poppies chocolate macarons and Ranger turtles. They have our lip smacking approval!

June brought her sister Anne, granddaughter Renly (12) and daughter Megan to our store.

Megan told us she is thrilled our community has the space and heart to support our store. Our Pane d’Amore cinammon twists and Snoqualmie vanilla bean ice cream may have been slightly depleted during the family visit, but next time we’ll be better prepared! June is one of our tireless volunteers who hustles behind the scenes to keep our store humming.

Summer and Krista are the new Nordland post office power duo.

Summer is our post office clerk and Krista is our mail carrier. If you have a PO box, see Summer for your new key and return your existing key to Port Hadlock. All mail and packages that were at the Hadlock post office are now in Nordland.

Nordland Post Office Hours

Monday - Friday, 9 am to noon and 1 to 4 pm
Saturday, 10 am to noon

New mail and packages will be sorted and available by 9:45 am
There will be no retail services such as purchasing stamps and mailing packages until further notice.

Jesse and Caroline proved you can be in your 20s and still appreciate the candy aisle.

They feasted on all the Zotz flavors and bags of Mad Candy. You can also sample our beer once you are in your 20s. These siblings gave a giant thumbs up to our beer selection, especially the new offerings from Chimacum Valley Grainery.

John and Frank are completing a 4,000+ mile bike ride with Warrior Expeditions.

They left D.C. on May 6 and will end in La Push this week! These veterans said the generosity they have experienced across our stunning country has far eclipsed any muscle fatigue. Congrats on your accomplishment and thank you for your service!

Mike and Lisa have been members since we opened, but this summer was their first store visit.

They tried all Samish Bay yogurts (plain, Greek and labneh), said our corn was the best of the summer and reminisced over Cracker Jacks! These Bostonians love good coffee and thought our mochas were sensational!

Christine sent us this photo from the Ruth Glacier in Denali National Park.

We crazy love this photo, but we’re wondering if next time Christine should also model a Nordland General Store beanie and sweatshirt! Brrrrr! Thank you Christine for spreading the love and sharing your contagious smile.
