Over 300 Members!

Thanks to you, we surpassed our first membership goal! It’s with deepest gratitude that we report we have met our first membership goal for the Nordland General Store cooperative. Our initial goal was to get 300 members during our membership campaign, and after just two weeks, we are proud to announce we have reached the magic number of 310!

Thank you to everyone from Marrowstone Island, the surrounding Jefferson County Tri-Area, and places far-afield where you hold Marrowstone Island in your heart! Together, we did it.

Are we done? Not yet! We need as many members as we can get. Why, you ask? Because 1) it’s expensive to open up a store these days and 2) we want as many people as possible invested in supporting the long-term success of our community store. So let’s keep growing our member base!

Our new goal is 500 members by opening day at the end of May. 

Can you help us reach that goal? Is there a neighbor on Marrowstone Island who should be a member? How about someone from Chimacum, Hadlock, or Port Townsend? Or even that long lost cousin who visits you twice a year and really should be a member no matter what? Tell them about our little community store that is reopening this summer.

We are excited to bring you the best possible community store we can, and we want to thank you again for your support, your ideas and your help! With our members backing the store, we’ll be here for many years to come.
